Canadian Rare Disease Network RAREvolution Scholarship

Applications are now open for the Canadian Rare Disease Network (CRDN) RAREvolution Scholarship, a new initiative made possible through the support of Alexion Canada. This program was created to recognize and support young people ages 17–29 who are living with a diagnosed or suspected rare disease as they pursue post-secondary education.
The scholarship exists to recognize resilience, leadership, and lived experience within the rare disease community. We know that navigating education while managing complex health realities can present unique challenges, and this program was designed to help reduce financial barriers and celebrate the strength of our community’s youth.
Who is eligible:
Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 29 at the time of application and living with, or affected by, a rare disease. Students must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents and they must be pursuing post-secondary education in Canada.
What support is offered:
Selected recipients will receive financial support up to $5000 to assist with tuition, educational expenses, or related costs, along with recognition through the RAREvolution Scholarship Program.
