DESCRIPTION:Join us for Pathways LIVE: Authors in Conversation\nwith Heather Ferguson\,\nFounder & Executive Director\, Lymphedema Advocacy Group\nMarch 5\, 2026 | 12:00 PM EST | Winter Pathways 2019 | FREE – Registration Required\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this Discussion: \nIn 2009\, Ms. Ferguson worked with her State Representative to pass the North Carolina Lymphedema Diagnosis and Treatment Act in an unprecedented four months’ time. She then turned her efforts to improving coverage nationwide\, and later that same year secured her Congressman as the sponsor for the first-ever federal Lymphedema Treatment Act. In 2010\, Ms. Ferguson founded the Lymphedema Advocacy Group\, to raise the awareness and support that would be necessary to move a bill through Congress\, and in 2022 the Lymphedema Treatment Act became law. The Lymphedema Advocacy Group continues to work on insurance issues and improving access to care in the United States.
